Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for a project on various NRCS WRP/WRE Easements located in Natchitoches & Rapids Parish Louisiana. We are having a pre-bid meeting for the project on:
 
June 20th at 9:30 AM.
 
We will meet at the entrance to the Corps Levee Road near the Rigolette Farms Project Site at the west end of Rigolette Rd (LA 1203) approximately 6.4 miles west of the intersection of State HWY 71 and Rigolette Rd (LA 1203), just north of Alexandria Louisiana (N31°21’41.19” W92°31’1.63”).  We will park just inside the entrance of the Corps Levee gate to initially meet then drive farther to the property to show the site. The turn-off for Rigolette Rd. (LA 1203) is just north of Alexandria VA Medical Center in Pineville, LA. The Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory but interested bidders are strongly suggested to attend.

The work on this project consists of earthfill/embankment and excavation, steel water control structures, culverts, flap gates, fencing, structural spillways, seed, fertilizer, mulch, and associated site preparation.   This work shall also include performing the necessary items outlined in the plans and specifications and associated with constructing the project according to the plans. 
 

Additional Notes/Requirements

Bids will be rejected if the bidder is not on DU’s pre-qualified contractors list. Bidders are encouraged to verify their pre-qualification prior to submitting a bid. Bids shall only be accepted from Prime Contractors with the necessary License Classifications required by the State Contracting Board to perform work outlined in the plans and technical specifications. It shall be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor to assure that he and all subcontractors comply with all state contracting laws.
