PROJECT TITLE: New Fueling Facility for DeSoto Parish Road Department
RECEIPT OF BIDS. Sealed bids will be received by the Owner, DeSoto Parish Police Jury in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Police Jury Building, 101 Franklin Street, Mansfield, Louisiana, until 11:00 am, Monday, September 15, 2014, and then publicly opened and read aloud.

DEPOSIT. The deposit for each set of Bidding Documents is $100.00. Checks shall be made payable to DeSoto Parish Police Jury. Deposit for the first set is fully refundable to all bonafide prime Bidders upon return of the documents, in good condition, bound as issued, free of marks, colors or notes, no later than ten days after receipt of bids. The deposit for all other sets of documents will be refunded 50% upon return of documents as stated above. General contractors not submitting bids on project will be refunded 50% of the deposit upon return of the bid documents in the condition and timeframe described above.
BID SECURITY. Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and any alternatives and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, and payable to the Owner.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE. A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 am, at the DeSoto Parish Police Jury office. Sign-in will be between 10:30 am and 11:00 am. Meeting will be closed at 11:00 am. Persons arriving after the meeting starts will not be allowed to attend the pre-bid conference. Attendance at the pre-bid conference by an officer, estimator or other individual with knowledge in preparing the bid, is MANDATORY and will be considered a pre-condition for bidder eligibility.
ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS. Bids shall only be accepted from contractors who are properly licensed under LA R.S. 37. No bid may be withdrawn after the bid opening except as allowed under the provisions of LA R.S. 38 and the Bid Documents. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause in accordance with LA R.S. 38.
