Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi will receive SEALED BIDS until 10:30 a.m. the 27th of January, 2021 from financial institutions located in Lowndes County, Mississippi, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (or any successor thereto) for keeping on deposit the various funds of Lowndes County for two (2) calendar years beginning March 1, 2021 through year ending February 28, 2023 or until new arrangements shall be made.
 
The institution must qualify under Title 27, Chapter 105 of the Mississippi Code and must be designate kind of security as authorized by law in which the financial institution proposes to give as security of Lowndes County funds.  Each bid must be submitted on the bid proposal form available from the Purchase Clerk, 1121 Main Street, 2nd floor, Columbus, MS or by contacting Patricia Tuggle at 662-329-5877. 
 
Bids can be mailed to Lowndes County Chancery Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 684, Columbus, MS 39703, or delivered to 505 2nd Avenue North, Columbus, MS 39701, and received before 10:30 a.m. on January 27, 2021. Item must be bid as advertised and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, “SEALED BID FOR DEPOSITORY SERVICES to be opened January 27, 2021”.  Failure to comply will cause the bid to be disqualified. 
 
The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids received.
