Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for a project in conjunction with South Florida Water Management District in Osceola County, Florida.  We are having a site showing and pre-bid meeting for this project to selected contractors at 10:00 AM on March 5, 2025.  We will meet at the intersection of Lake Cypress Road and Canoe Creek Rd (Hwy 523), approximately 12 miles south of St Cloud.  Schedule potentially could change depending on weather.  Please notify me if you intend to attend, we are attempting to coordinate access but bring personal ATV. 
 
The proposed project is designed to improve and restore a wetland and help recharge groundwater.  This will be done by a series of ditch fill created by pushing stockpiled material left in place from the excavation of a ditch through the system, back into the ditch, (totaling approximately 18, 267 lf at three sites).  In addition all associated erosion and sediment control, site preparation, clearing, mobilization and associated work needed to complete the project.
 
This pre-bid meeting is not mandatory for contractors intending to bid but it is strongly encouraged. Due to the proximity of DU’s office and restricted access to the site, an alternate meeting will not be offered and bidders will not be able to view on their own.
