SECTION 00100 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
 
NOTICE OF BIDS
 
Sealed, written formal bid proposals for the above bid will be received by the Board of Education of the
Jefferson Davis County School District, in the Career Center, 11 Vo-Tec Rd, Carson, Mississippi 39427, until 10:00 a.m. (Local Prevailing Time) APRIL 20, 2022, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
 
The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved, for forty-five calendar days from the date bids are opened.
 
Bid documents are being made available via electronic copy. Plan holders are required to register for an account at www.m3aarchplans.com to view Bid Documents. Printed copies are not available through the Architect. Plan holders will be responsible for their own reproduction cost. Questions regarding website registration and online orders please contact Plan House Printing at (662) 407-0193. Questions regarding plan clarifications or request for information should be directed to the architect as follows:

All Contractors who intend to submit “BIDS” are NOT REQUIRED to attend the NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference at the Career Center, 11 Vo-Tec Rd, Carson, Mississippi 39427 on March 30, at 10:00 AM local prevailing time.
 
The successful bidder will be allowed 270 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete.
 
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi.
 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
