Sealed bids will be received for the Acadia Parish Police Jury by Royal Engineers and Consultants at 505 N.E. Court Circle, Crowley, LA, Acadia Parish Administrative Building, until 2:00 P.M, Thursday, April 23, 2015.

All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be in accordance with the forms attached to the bidding documents for this project.
The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written in accordance with the forms attached to the bidding documents for this project.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD
at 10:30AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Acadia Parish Administrative Building, 505 N.E. Court Circle, Crowley, LA.
A JOBSITE VISIT IS RECOMMENDED
The job site is located in Acadia Parish. Take Hwy 97 (Evangeline Hwy) North from Jennings, LA. To DI’s Cajun Restaurant. Immediately past Di’s, take a left (head west) onto Reed Road. Follow Reed Rd. till its intersection with Jolene Rd. Take a left onto Jolene Rd. and stay on Jolene Rd. till its intersection with Vie Terre Beau Rd. Take a right on Vie Terre Beau Rd. and follow that road till its intersection with the Vie Terre Beau Rd. bridge. Approximate coordinates are as follows LAT. 30d21’28.13”N, LONG. 92d37’37.93”W. It is the responsibility of all potential bidders to visit the job site to assess the location, logistics, and site conditions prior to bidding.

Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Heavy Construction . In accordance with LA. R.S. 37:2163(D), anyone objecting to the classification must send a certified letter to both the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and Royal at the address listed above. The letter must be received no later than ten (10) working days prior to the day on which bids are to be opened.
Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38:2212 (A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
When this project is financed either partially or entirely with State Bonds or federal funds, the award of this Contract is contingent upon the granting of lines of credit, the sale of bonds by the Bond Commission or the commitment of federal funds. Acadia Parish shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract Between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
