PUBLIC NOTICE
The St. Landry Parish Sheriff will be accepting bids on unleaded gasoline for the year period starting January 15, 2014 through January 15, 2015. Interested parties must be able to furnish up to 15,000 gallons of unleaded fuel per month. Fuel deliveries must be made to the Sheriff’s Maintenance Shop at 1130 W. Landry Street in Opelousas, Louisiana as needed. The fuel must have a minimum octane rating of 87, non ethanol.
Bids will consist of price per gallon that specifies the bid amount over distributor cost. Distributor cost must be documented at time of bid. Bid must be final price, including all applicable Taxes / Fees. Successful bidder(s) will be allowed price increases or decreases whenever such increases or decreases occur at the wholesale level (escalation clause). No additional costs will be allowed in addition to the actual bid amount except for the amount of actual wholesale fuel cost increase subsequent to the bid award date, which must be documented in writing from both the distributor and the successful bidder at the time of actual delivery. A signed agreement by the successful bidder must be received before first delivery is made. Payment will be made to suppliers on a monthly basis.
Bids must be sealed, and clearly marked “GASOLINE BID”. Bids can be submitted in person or mailed to the Sheriff’s Maintenance Shop at 1130 W. Landry Street, Opelousas, LA or by electronic bids at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read. The St. Landry Parish Sheriff reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive all formalities.
