IN THE MATTER OF PUBLICATION
CLAIM NO. ________FOR ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR (1) ONE OR MORE AUTOMATED SIDE LOADING GARBAGE TRUCK WITH A SINGLE AXLE CONVENTIONAL CHASSIS FOR THE LAFAYETTE COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT.
 
            WHEREAS it is now necessary and this Board desires to advertise to receive bids through a reverse auction for (1) one or more automated side loading single rear axle garbage trucks with a conventional chassis.
            It is, therefore, ordered by the Board that the Clerk of this Board publish notice of the intention of the Board to receive bids via reverse auction on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at www.centralbidding.com according to specifications on file in the office of the clerk of the Board of Supervisors and online at www.centralbidding.com. Said notice shall be published for the required time in the manner provided in the Oxford Eagle, a newspaper having general circulation in Lafayette County, MS.
            Upon motion made by Supervisor _________, seconded by Supervisor __________, the above and foregoing resolution was put to a roll call vote the result being as follows:

The motion having received the unanimous approval of all members present, the President of the Board declared the motion carried and resolution adopted this the 16th day of December, 2024.

NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID
 
Notice is hereby given that sealed or electronic bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Lafayette County, Mississippi for the purpose of purchasing one (1) or more Single Axle Automated Side Loading garbage truck with Conventional Chassis.
 
Unpriced bid proposals will be accepted until 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, at the office of the Lafayette County Chancery Clerk, 300 North Lamar Blvd., Oxford, Mississippi 38655, or by electronic bid submission at www.centralbidding.com.  Proposals should be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as indicated: ONE (1) OR MORE SINGLE AXLE AUTOMATED SIDE LOADING GARBAGE TRUCK WITH CONVENTIONAL CHASSIS BID DATE: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8TH, 2025. 
 
Bid Specifications and Procedures may be obtained by contacting the Lafayette County Administrator’s office at 662-236-2717, located at 300 North Lamar Blvd., Oxford, Mississippi, 38655 on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or may be obtained at www.centralbidding.com.

Submitted proposals will be evaluated and vendors submitting acceptable bids/proposals will be invited to submit PRICED BIDS. 
 
FINAL BIDDING WILL BE HELD BY ELECTRONIC REVERSE AUCTION, BEGINNING AT 10:00 A.M, ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15TH, 2025, AT www.centralbidding.com.   Sealed paper bids may be submitted in the Office of the County Administrator on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, no later than thirty minutes prior to the start time of the reverse auction and receive technical assistance in entering their bid in the reverse auction.
 
The Board expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any part of any or all bids based on a lowest and best bid determination in the best interest of the County.  The Board reserves the right to waive informalities.
