     PROJECT NAME: RB-2324-15 FPID: 449883-1-54-01 CR 278 (Alliance Rd) Resurfacing Project           
 
            Sealed bids, submitted as one (1) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy, OR submitted electronically on www.centralbidding.com, will be received by the Jackson County (BOCC) (Owner), until Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 2:00pm CST, at the office of:

for construction of the following described Project:
 
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
 
This project primarily consists of the milling and resurfacing of CR 278 (Alliance Rd) Road from SR 71 to Birchwood Road for a total project length of 4.7 miles.  The existing 24 wide roadway will be milled and resurfaced along with the addition of 5’ paved shoulders on the interior of selected horizontal curves.  Shoulder work, roadway excavation and ditch grading will also be included along with drainage improvements consisting of cross drain culvert extensions and replacements, concrete pipe joint repairs and concrete mitered end sections.  Signing and thermoplastic pavement markings are also included in this project.

upon payment of $125 per hard copy set which amount constitutes the cost of reproduction and handling.  This payment will not be refunded.  Electronic Copies of bid documents will be available free of charge.  The Owner plans to open bids and publicly read aloud on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 2:00pm CST or soon thereafter, at the Jackson County BOCC Board Room located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Fl 32448. 
 
            The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.  Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.  Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable according to the Department of Treasury Circular 570.
 
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
 
Attention:  Bidding Contractors must be prequalified by the DEPARTMENT (FDOT) as required by Section 2 of the current FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
