ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received until the hour of 2:00 p.m., local time on May 10, 2018 for the following:

NATCHITOCHES PARISH PORT COMMISSION
DOCK 3 REPAIRS

The construction consists of demolition of the damaged structure and re-establishing the river bottom, installation of a new steel sheet-pile bulkhead and anchor system, re- grading the existing site beyond the bulkhead and installing a French drain system and concrete paving.

Each bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope showing the Project Title, and the name, address, and license number of the bidder. Late bids will not be accepted.

Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond acceptable to the Owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, and payable without condition to the Owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents. Sureties for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasure Circular 570.

A complete set of the Contract Documents may be secured from Infinity Engineering Consultants, LLC, 4001 Division St, Metairie, LA 70002 (Phone (504)304-0548, Fax (504)355-0265) by licensed contractors upon receipt of $150.00 per set. Deposit on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of documents in good condition no later than ten (10) days after receipts of bids.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219 as applicable.

The Natchitoches Parish Port Commission reserves the right to reject all bids, and to reject bids for just cause, pursuant to the law.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 25, 2018 at the Natchitoches Parish Port Commission Office located at 5690 Highway 486, Louisiana 6, Campti, LA 71411.

Other than as provided in LSA-R.S. 38:2214, no bidder may withdraw a bid within 45 calendar days after the actual date of opening.

The successful bidder shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within 10 days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11426, Section 503, Section 504 and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Government and the State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
