1. Will the District consider accepting non-apple devices of equivalent specifications from alternate manufacturers? All proposals will be considered and ranked according to the rubric listed in the RFP. It is important to note that our device management structure is focused around Apple devices. This includes, but is not limited to, MDM (Jamf Pro), end-user training, user resources such as educational content and apps, as well as IT staff training. Our evaluation process will include consideration of the potential additional costs required to provision these resources to configure, maintain and support non-Apple devices. 2. There was no exact quantity for how many of the iPads and MacBooks will be purchased. Do you have a rough estimate about how many of each will be ordered? OSD is looking to purchase approximately 3000 devices in some combination of MacBook Air laptops and iPad tablets. Vendors participating in the reverse auction will be asked to provide a per unit cost for up to 3000 of each device. A final determination of device quantities will be made based on the pricing provided during the reverse auction. 3. For the product specifications will Oxford School District be willing to purchase if let's say the color is different but the other specs are the same? For example, in the bid it says a silver finish is wanted for the iPads. Will you guys still accept if it was space gray or are you guys dead set on the specifications listed in the bid? OSD will adhere to the specs as written. It is important to note that, per the RFP, only devices offered in new and unused condition will be considered. Devices that have been refurbished, returned, recycled, etc. will not be considered. 4. This bid closes on 1/5/2023. Do you have an estimated lead time when this contract will be awarded after the close date? The RFP timeline calls for presenting a bid award recommendation to the OSD Board of Trustees during their regular meeting on January 23, 2023.
