Bid 2024-06 Used Mino School Bus Purchase
 
 
BID FOR TWO (2) USED SCHOOL BUSES TO BE PURCHASED BY TANGIPAHOA PARISH SCHOOL SYSTEM. 
            Sealed bids will be received at the Tangipahoa Parish School System, 59656 Puleston Road, Amite, Louisiana, 70422, until 2:00 P.M. (CST), Thursday, October 26, 2023. Bids are to be submitted in the format required by the school system.  All bids must be firm prices, free of any escalator clauses.  Bids may also be submitted online instead of mailing for a fee paid to the    website at www.centralauctionhouse.com. 
 
All bids not submitted online shall be sealed and mailed Special Delivery, Certified, Return Receipt, or Hand Delivered to the Tangipahoa Parish School System, 59656 Puleston Road, Amite, Louisiana 70422, ATTN: Mr. Michael Coxen, Purchasing Department, and a receipt obtained.    
All bids arriving after the above stated date and hour will not be accepted, as well as bids that are not mailed Certified – Return Receipt.  Bids via fax or email will not be accepted.  No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least (30) thirty days.
All prices shall include transportation charges to the Tangipahoa Parish School System, 59656 Puleston Road, Amite, Louisiana 70422.
Taxes shall not be included.  Act 1029 of 1991 exempts the School System and the schools from all Sales and Use Taxes.
The Tangipahoa Parish School System reserves the right to reject any and all bids, adjust quantities on any or all items by increasing or decreasing, and to waive any informality.
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, and provisions, produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the state.

Tangipahoa Parish School System is seeking bids for this bus lease-purchase agreement with the understanding that the school system is under no obligation to enter a contract or incur any financial expenses.
Any lease-purchase contract signed with the Tangipahoa Parish School System shall contain a Non-Appropriation Clause.
Total price is to include any and all fees (title, license, registration, motor vehicle inspection tag, window sticker, etc). 
Bid must be signed on page 4.
Bid will be awarded to the overall low bid total of both buses to one vendor.

SPECIFICATIONS/BID  FORM 
Bids are to be in accordance with specifications from the Tangipahoa Parish School Board Office and must meet all requirements of the State of Louisiana, Department of Education, Bulletin 119—Louisiana School Transportation Specifications and Procedures and “Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards” in effect at the time each vehicle was manufactured.  Buses must be available for inspection in Tangipahoa Parish.
 
 
SCOPEIt is the intent of the Tangipahoa Parish School System to purchase two (2) used mino school buses with air conditioning units included.

Delivery Requirements:
 
Full delivery should be no later than November 30, 2023.  All buses are needed for immediate use.
 
Buses shall arrive with permanent public license plates affixed upon delivery.  School Bus license plates are not acceptable.
 
Buses must be available in Tangipahoa Parish to be visually inspected by Tangipahoa Parish School System’s representative prior to acceptance.  Any deficiencies must be corrected before delivery.
