NOTICE

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Commissioners for the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District up to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014, for the lease of a pipeline servitude only, on the following described property:

A tract of land situated in Fractional Section 30, Township 10 South, Range 11 East, Iberville Parish, Louisiana, and more particularly described in that Deed dated November 14, 1942, and recorded under C.O.B. 82, Entry Number 145 of the conveyance records of the Office of Clerk of Court, Iberville Parish, Louisiana, reference to which is hereby made for all purposes.

Said bids will be publicly opened at the office of said Board in Port Allen, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 4:00 p.m..

The pipeline servitude will be leased only as one tract. Payment shall be made in full and due upon execution of the Agreement by all parties. The minimum bid for the pipeline servitude shall be $350.00 per rod. The term of the lease shall be for 20 years with renewable 20 year option available subject to a fair market rate. The successful bidder is required to submit proof of liability insurance of not less than $1,000,000 on the property which the servitude is acquired with the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District being named on the policy as additionally insured.

Prospective bidders are to satisfy themselves as to the validity of the land title prior to submitting their bids, in as much as the servitude will be leased without warranty of title except as against the Board's own acts. Access to said property is not guaranteed by the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District and is the responsibility of bidder. Prospective bidders may wish to obtain copy of the lease prior to submitting bid to assure themselves of the terms and conditions to which they are bidding. The land will be leased subject to any oil, gas and mineral lease, that may exist now or be entered into in the future, the bonus, rentals and royalties from which shall be reserved to the Board. All mineral rights shall be reserved to the Board in perpetuity in accordance with the Constitution. It is a current oil lease in effect on this land with Interstate Explorations, LLC.

The Board will not consider any bids submitted for less than $350.00 per rod.

The successful bidder will be responsible for all advertising costs. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

It is mandatory that all bids are submitted on forms provided by the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District, otherwise bid will be considered null and void.
