Notice is hereby given that sealed Request for Proposal (RFP) will be received by the Lafayette Parish School Board Purchasing Department located at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508.  Delivery to any other department other than the Purchasing Department is unacceptable and may result in non-consideration of the proposal.
 
Sealed proposals will be received until July 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. CST for:

INTERNAL BUS CAMERAS
 
RFP# 29-18
 
The RFP #29-18 is to procure internal bus cameras, software, SD cards, video recorders, installation and a scheduled maintenance program for two hundred (200) to two hundred and twenty-five (225) school buses operated within the Lafayette Parish School System.
                       
A Request for Proposal package may be obtained from the Purchasing Department of the Lafayette Parish School System located at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA  70508 or on the Purchasing Department website at www.lpssonline.com/purchasing.  Proposal information may also be viewed online, and electronic proposals may be submitted online at www.centralauctionhouse.com.  Specifications will be available Friday June 9, 2017.
 
At the above stated date and time only the names of the proposal respondents will be read aloud in the LPSS Central Office Board Room.
 
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held in the LPSS Central Office Board Room at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508 at 10:00 am CST, Wednesday June 21, 2017.
 
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals for just cause.  In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (a)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this section, those stated in the Advertisement for Request for Proposal, and those required on the proposal form shall not be waived by any public entity.
 
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the state.
 
The Lafayette Public School System strongly encourages the participation of minority business enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by the Board for goods and services.  To that end, all contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase of sub-contracting of materials, supplies, and services in which minority owned businesses are available.
