Notice is given hereby that:

EVANGELINE PARISH POLICE JURY
WARD 1 INDUSTRIAL PARK-SPUR REFURBISHMENT Engineer’s Project #1-0018-18
This project consists of refurbishing the approximately 1200 LF of existing railroad spur located in the Ward 1 Industrial Park, including but not limited to all ties, damaged rail, ballast, etc. Sealed bids will be received by the Owner until:
11:00 a.m., local time , on
Tuesday , the
22th day of October, 2019, at the office of the Evangeline Parish Police jury, located at 1008 West LaSalle Street, Ville Platte, LA 70586, whereas bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of
$100.00. This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212.
Bona fide General Contract Bidders may secure copies of the proposed contract
documents from the office of the Engineer on the following basis:
1. On any bid submitted in the amount of fifty thousand dollars or more, a Contractor
shall certify that he is licensed under the provisions of paragraph A, Section 2163 of
the Contractor’s Licensing Law and shall show his license number on the
bid envelope.
2.
No partial sets will be issued. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in the state, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids.
The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that Minority Business Enterprises will be afforded equal opportunity to submit offers in response to this solicitation and they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, disability, or national origin during award consideration.
Each Bidder must not maintain or provide any employee facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality incidental thereto, in accordance with LA Revised Statutes 38.
