As for the cabling part of the bid, can it be broken up or must it all be inclusive? Example: can a bid consist only on the copper drops.

What is the average ceiling height? (may require lift)

4.1 states you will need local resources available for troubleshooting and repair. GA is not local and that is where our install partner is traveling from. What type of repair and trouble shooting are you looking for exactly?

As for the cabling part of the bid, can it be broken up or must it all be inclusive? Example: can a bid consist only on the copper drops. The cabling part of the proposal must address all cabling requirements. A vendor may submit a proposal for just the cabling section, but it must address all of the cabling components of the RFP.

What is the average ceiling height? (may require lift) The average ceiling height is 10 feet. SCPPS will make arrangements for a lift if it is determined by both the vendor and SCPPS that one is needed during installation.

4.1 states you will need local resources available for troubleshooting and repair. GA is not local and that is where our install partner is traveling from. What type of repair and trouble shooting are you looking for exactly? The vendor will be responsible for on-site repair/trouble-shooting if any issues are experienced during or shortly after installation to ensure that all of the work completed is of high-quality and functioning as proposed. In the proposal, please indicate the response time needed to get someone on-site if it is determined that troubleshooting/repair cannot be done remotely.

Do you require the Layer 2 switches to have PoE++ capabilities, even if the proposed Access Points only require PoE+?

Do you require the Layer 2 switches to have PoE++ capabilities, even if the proposed Access Points only require PoE+? As in section 2.2.1.13 Must support PoE +/PoE ++ . This means that If the access point being proposed requires PoE + then the proposed switch can be PoE + as well.
StCharlesITS on 09-Jan-2023 7:53:42 AM CST
Requirement 2.2.1.13 indicates needed support for POE + and POE ++ (which commonly refers to 802.3bt POE capability). Comparing this to requirement 2.2.1.1 which specifies “functionally equivalent to, or better than, Brocade ICX 7150-48P. It is our understanding that the ICX 7150-48P does not support POE ++. Can you clarify whether POE++ is a requirement (i.e. a switch “better than” than Brocade ICX 7150-48P would be required in order to meet both 2.2.1.1 and 2.2.1.13)? The requirement in 2.2.1.13 is stated with a "/". The intent was not that it supports both, but rather that the switches support the proposed Access Points. Therefore, it is not required that they support POE++ if the proposed APs do not need POE++.
