Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the St. Martin Parish Government, State of Louisiana, for GRAND BOIS APPROACH SLAB & HEADWALL REPAIRS and other work in connection therewith.
Bids will be on a unit price basis; segregated Bids will not be accepted.
Bids will be received by the St. Martin Parish Government until 10:00 A.M., August 24th, 2023, at the Government Annex Building, 301 W. Port Street, St. Martinville, Louisiana. Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud after the specified closing time.
Complete sets of the Bidding Documents may be examined in the office of the Parish President in the Government Annex Building, 301 W. Port Street, St. Martinville, Louisiana, or in the office of the Engineer, HUVAL & Associates, Inc., 922 W. Pont des Mouton Rd., Lafayette, Louisiana.
Complete sets of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at the Engineer's office in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon payment of a deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each set of documents. Deposit shall be in the form of a check made payable to the St. Martin Parish Government.
To qualify to bid, each bidder shall be a properly licensed Contractor in accordance with Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2150-2163 for the classification of Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. Contractors desiring to bid shall submit evidence that they hold license of proper classification in full force and effect at the time the bidding documents are requested from the office of the Engineers. The Contractor shall show his license number on the bid form and on the envelope containing his Bid.
Bidding documents shall not be issued later than 24 hours prior to the hour and date set for the opening of Bids.
Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Engineer.
Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to St. Martin Parish Government in an amount of at least five percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or a Bid Bond. This check or Bid Bond shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder will execute the Agreement, should it be awarded to him.
