IN THE MATTER OF PUBLICATION
FOR ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR (1) REAR LOADING GARBAGE TRUCK FOR LAFAYETTE COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT.
 
      WHEREAS it is now necessary and this Board desires to advertise to receive bids through a reverse auction for one (1) rear loading garbage trucks with a cabover chassis.
      It is, therefore, ordered by the Board that the Clerk of this Board publish notice of the intention of the Board to receive bids via reverse auction on Friday, December 13th, 2024, at 9:00 A.M. for the garbage truck at www.centralbidding.com according to specifications on file in the office of the Lafayette County Administrator and online at www.centralbidding.com. Said notice shall be published for the required time in the manner provided in the Oxford Eagle, a newspaper having general circulation in Lafayette County, MS.
      Upon motion made by Supervisor Bynum, seconded by Supervisor Allen, the above and foregoing resolution was put to a roll call vote the result being as follows:

Notice is hereby given that sealed or electronic bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Lafayette County, Mississippi for the purpose of purchasing one (1) rear loading garbage truck with a single rear axle cab over chassis.
 
Unpriced bid proposals will be accepted until 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, at the office of the Lafayette County Chancery Clerk, 300 North Lamar Blvd., Oxford, Mississippi 38655, or by electronic bid submission at www.centralbidding.com.  Proposals should be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as indicated: ONE (1) REAR LOADING GARBAGE TRUCK WITH SINGLE REAR AXLE CAB OVER CHASSIS BID DATE: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11TH, 2024. 
 
Bid Specifications and Procedures may be obtained by contacting the Lafayette County Administrator’s office at 662-236-2717, located at 300 North Lamar Blvd., Oxford, Mississippi, 38655 on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or may be obtained at www.centralbidding.com.

Submitted proposals will be evaluated and vendors submitting acceptable bids/proposals will be invited to submit PRICED BIDS. 
 
FINAL BIDDING WILL BE HELD BY ELECTRONIC REVERSE AUCTION, BEGINNING AT 9:00 A.M, ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13TH, 2024, AT www.centralbidding.com.   Sealed paper bids may be submitted in the Office of the County Administrator on Friday, December 13th, 2024, no later than thirty minutes prior to the start time of the reverse auction and receive technical assistance in entering their bid in the reverse auction.
 
The Board expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any part of any or all bids based on a lowest and best bid determination in the best interest of the County.  The Board reserves the right to waive informalities.
