Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Lafayette County, Mississippi in the Supervisors’ Board Room, 300 N. Lamar Blvd., Oxford, Mississippi until 4:00 P.M., February 4, 2019 and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read aloud for:
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
MATERIAL STORAGE BUILDING
LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI
The scope of work for this project: Contractor shall provide all concrete building foundation and erection of a pre-engineered metal building. Lafayette County will provide all earthwork and grading and furnish and install all clay gravel or crushed limestone required for the building floor. Project time for this project is 120 calendar days.
Bid preparation will be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders bound in the Contract Documents. Project Plans and Contract Documents may be examined at Elliott & Britt Engineering, P.A., 823 North Lamar Blvd./P.O. Box 308, Oxford, Mississippi, 38655.
All documents required for bidding purposes may be obtained from Elliott and Britt Engineering, PA located at 823 North Lamar Boulevard, Oxford, MS 38655 for a non-refundable deposit of $105.00, or may be purchased through www.centralbidding.com.
The proposal and contract documents in their entirety shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited with the Lafayette County Chancery Clerk, prior to the hour and date above designated. The proposal may also be submitted electronically through www.centralbidding.com. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of actual bid opening, without Owner’s consent.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest and/or best bid from a responsive responsible and qualified Bidder. Should no award be made within forty-five (45) calendar days after opening of proposals, all proposals may be rejected and all proposal guaranties returned, unless the lowest responsive responsible qualified bidder, at the request of the Owner, Lafayette County Board of Supervisors, agrees in writing to a longer delay.
Bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Licensed Mississippi Agent, or Mississippi Non-Resident Agent licensed to do business in the State of Mississippi, with Power of Attorney attached, or Cashier’s check or Certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to Lafayette County, must accompany each proposal.
Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals may not be considered in making the award. Lafayette County, Mississippi reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids if considered not in the best interest of Lafayette County, Mississippi.
