The Board of Trustees of the Clinton Public School District will take bid proposals until 2:00 P.M. on July 11, 2022 from financial institutions within Hinds County, Mississippi for the privilege of keeping School District funds for the FY23-FY25 school years. Bids must be made in accordance with Section 37-7-333 and Section 27-105-305, MS Code Ann. (1972).
Pursuant to existing provisions of Sections 27-105-305, et seq. and 37-7-333, Mississippi Code Ann. (1972), it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the Clinton Public School District (District) to select a Depository or Depositories to assist with the banking functions for all funds of the District for a three (3) year period commencing not later than August 1, 2022 and ending not later than July 31, 2025. Actual account beginning activity may be delayed depending upon delivery date of necessary checks and deposit slips. Bid ending date may also be extended to cover the same contingency.
The legal provisions providing for the naming of a Depository or Depositories of the District are set forth in Section 37-7-333, Mississippi Code Ann. (1972).
The District reserves the right to request, after bids are opened, any additional information regarding the bid which will help in determining the successful bidder.
The District reserves the right to: (1) award bids received on the basis of individual accounts, groups of accounts, or on all accounts of the District; (2) reject any or all bids, or any part thereof; (3) invest excess funds in other instruments with other entities; (4) waive any and all formalities; and (5) accept the bid(s) that is the most responsive and responsible bid(s) in the best interest of the District. The decision of the School Board shall be final.
Bids cannot be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening date. Once accepted by the School Board, no bids may be withdrawn.
