Advertisement for Bids                  
Notice is hereby given that a sealed bid will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System by the Purchasing Department located at 202 Rue Iberville, Lafayette, LA 70508 for the following as delineated on the Proposal Form:
 
Bids will be marked as follows:
 
                        Band Instruments
                        Bid #05-24
                        Opening:  September 21, 2023 @ 10:00 am CST
 
The bid #05-24 is to purchase various band instruments for the Lafayette Parish School System.
 
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated time and date in a Conference Room of the Lafayette Parish School System District Office Building.
 
Complete bidding documents may be obtained from the Purchasing Department website at https://www.lpssonline.com/departments/business-services/purchasing.  Bid information may also be viewed online, and electronic bids may be submitted online at www.centralauctionhouse.com.  Specifications will be available Friday September 6, 2023.
 
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.  In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (a)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this section, those stated in the Advertisement for Bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be waived by any public entity.
 
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the state.
 
The Lafayette Public School System strongly encourages the participation of minority business enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by the Board for goods and services.  To that end, all contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase of sub-contracting of materials, supplies, and services in which minority owned businesses are available.
