The Calcasieu Parish School Board will receive sealed bids before 10:00 A.M..
October 03.2017. at its offices at the Calcasieu Parish School Board. Plannine &
Construction Department. Chennault Facilities.3800 Mallard Cove Drive. P.B.
#506, Lake Charles. Louisiana 70615 for Gillis Elementarv Drainage
Improvements. Sales Tax District #3 Funds. Bid No.20l8-04PC Complete plans
and specifications may be obtained from Moss Architects. Inc..3221 Ryan Street.
Suite B. and Lake Charles. Louisiana 70601.
No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security
in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Additive
Altemates. The bid security shall be in the form of certified check or cashier's check
drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or Calcasieu Parish School Board Bid Bond
Form contained in the Front End Documents written by a surety company licensed to
do business in Louisiana with a A.M. Best rating of "A" or better, countersigned by a
person who is under contract with the surety company or bond insurer as a licensed
agent in this state and who is residing in this state.
Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S.
37:2150-2163, Act 635, effective January l, 1989, for the classification Building
Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt
of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38,.2214. Evidence of authority to
submit the bid shall be required in accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A) (l) (c) and/or
R.S. 3e:1594 (C) (2) (d).
Each bid must be placed in an envelope, sealed and marked on the outside, "Gillis
Elementarv Drainage Improvements . Sales Tax District #3 Funds. Bid No.
2018-04PC. to be opened at 10:00 A.M.. October 03.2018 . at the Calcasieu
Parish School Board. Planning & Construction Deoartment. Chennault
Facilities. P.B. #506. Lake Charles. Louisiana 70615".

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. In accordance with La. R.S.
38:2212 (A) (l) (b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in
the advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered
as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
A deposit may be required on the bid documents; however, the deposit shall not
exceed twice the actual cost of reproduction. Deposits on the first set of documents
furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the
documents no later than ten days after receipt of bids. On other sets of documents
furnished to bidders the deposit less actual cost of reproduction, will be refunded
upon return of the documents no later than ten days after receipt of bids. R.S.
