The project includes removal and disposal of alum sludge located in the northern sludge holding lagoon with a surface area of approximately three (3) acres. Sludge, sand and silt material removed shall be disposed in the existing adjacent north and middle drying beds. The Contractor will be required to inspect the site prior to removing the material to inspect dewatering structures and determine any minor work necessary to prepare the drying beds for receiving the material.
