2022 Rail and Rail Tie Replacement Project
 
will be received by the Owner until 2:00 P.M., CST on Thursday, July 28, 2022, ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
 
The project consists of the following major items: 
 
3950 + Track Feet: 115 # AREMA Rail and Steel Rail Tie Replacement
3000 + Tons:  No. 4 Rail Ballast

A pre-bid meeting will be held per the Instructions to Bidders included in the bid package. The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938.  The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
 
Owner hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
 
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.  All bidders will abide by the Federal Housing and Urban Development’s Section 3 Regulations (24 CFR 135).
 
Any construction award can only be issued to a Contractor licensed in the State of Mississippi.  Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer, Smith & Weiland, upon payment of $ 125.00, NON-REFUNDABLE, for each set.  Please send remittance to Smith & Weiland, Surveyors and Engineers, Inc., 728 Cherry Street, Helena, AR 72342 (870.338.6550).
 
If you desire to submit a sealed, competitive bid, please submit your bid before the hour on the date set forth above to the County Administrator of Coahoma County, Mississippi, at the Coahoma County Courthouse in Clarksdale, Mississippi.  If you choose to submit your bid by mail, the proper mailing address is:
