Project Name:  Construction of Sidewalks Along Bobby Street From Tiger Drive to Midland Drive Addressing Drainage as Needed, 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) Program (#2023-151) construction of the “Construction of Sidewalks Along Bobby Street From Tiger Drive to Midland Drive Addressing Drainage as Needed, 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) Program (#2023-151)” consisting of the following:
 

COMPLETE FOLLOWING LINES SO AS TO GIVE PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS REASONABLE IDEA OF THE NATURE, SIZE AND SCOPE OF THE PROJECT.
 

 
Construction of a concrete sidewalk along the south side of Bobby Street from Tiger Drive to the intersection of Midland Drive addressing drainage as needed along with all other incidental work items as specified, all complete as indicated in the plans and specifications.  The base bid of the project is to include work from Tiger Drive to Sugar Cane Way.  Alternate #1 bid is to include work at the intersection of Plantation Road and Tiger Drive.  Alternate #2 bid is to include work from Sugar Cane Way to South Barbier Avenue.  Alternate #3 is to include work from South Barbier Avenue to Midland Drive.
 
The Engineer’s estimates are as follows:
 
Base Bid:       $196,000.00
Alternate #1:  $    9,400.00
Alternate #2:  $  52,000.00
Alternate #3:  $  42,000.00
 
will be received electronically by the City of Thibodaux until 10:00 A.M. local time, on Monday, November 25, 2024, at which time bids will be retrieved from the Central Auction House (CAH) website and read aloud at City Hall, Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, 310 West 2nd Street,  Thibodaux, LA 70301.  Only electronic bids submitted on www.centralbidding.com will be accepted.
 
Bid documents are posted on www.centralbidding.com.   To view these, download, receive bid notices by e-mail, and submit the bid you must register with Central Auction House (CAH).  Vendors/Contractors must submit their bids electronically.  For information about the electronic submittal process, contact Central Auction House at 1-833-412-5717.
 
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference shall be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at the office of David A. Waitz Engineering and Surveying, Inc., 1107 Canal Boulevard, Thibodaux, Louisiana 70301.   The pre-bid conference will be conducted to discuss the Plans, Specifications, and project requirements. 
 
The Contract Documents consisting of the Plans, Specifications and project requirements for this Project may be examined at the following location:

No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds a Louisiana State Contractor’s License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. Louisiana R.S. 37:2151-63.  Bids will be accepted from contractors who are licensed under the classification of  HIGHWAY, STREET AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION and/or MUNICIPAL AND PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION.
 
This project is financed through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of Thibodaux.
 
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to the condition of employment to be observed under the Con­tract - Section 3, Segregated Facility; Section 109 and E. O. 11246.  Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, David-Bacon Act, Anti-Kickback Act, Contract Work Hours Standards Act and the Federal Labor Standards Provisions (HUD 4010).  All regulations will be adhered to.
