Sealed bids will be received by the Lakefront Management Authority (LMA), 6001 Stars & Stripes Blvd.,
Suite 219, New Orleans, Louisiana 70126, as well as through Central Auction House at
https://www.centralauctionhouse.com, until 10:00 a.m. on May 29, 2024.
FOR: Airport Drainage Improvements Phase II- Pump Procurement
Scope of Work: This project is Phase II of a multi-phase implementation of airport-wide drainage
improvements at the Lakefront Airport. Phase II includes the material procurement of Two (2), 200
CFM 90,000 GPM horizontal driven vertical propeller pumps, electrical motors, and gear
drives. The project is being bid with the following items:
1. VERTICAL PROPELLER PUMPS
a. Two (2), 200 CFM 90,000 GPM horizontal driven vertical propeller pumps and
motors to be furnished under this Contract, each of which shall be driven by a
squirrel cage induction motor attached to a right-angle gear (RAG)
2. ELECTRIC MOTORS, 3-PHASE HORIZONTAL INDUCTION TYPE
a. Two (2) 800 HP minimum electric motors to be furnished under this contract,
each of which shall be 1200 RPM, 4160 volt, 3 phase 60 hertz, TEFC,
Horizontal, induction type and shall be constructed with Class F Insulated Form
Wound Copper Stator Coils. Motors shall be U.S. Motors or approved equal.
3. GEAR DRIVES
a. Two (2) identical right angle gear drive speed reducers for the two (2)
horizontal driven pumps, complete with all accessories. The Two (2) gear
reducer drives will be used to transmit the power from the electric motor to the
vertical pump.
4. MATERIAL DELIVERY
a. Product to be delivered to a storage facility at the New Orleans Lakefront
Airport and installed by owner selected contractor.
5. WARRANTY
a. 1 year

documents are available upon payment of ten dollars ($10.00) per set. Payment for bid docs is nonrefundable.

In order to be notified of addendums, please include company information. Due to the limited and specific
nature of this project, the Lakefront Management Authority will not conduct a Pre-Bid Conference prior to
bid opening.
All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of certified check, cashier’s check, or Bid Bond
as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A.C, in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount
bid and payable without conditions to the Owner as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will
promptly execute a Contract in accordance with bid proposal and all terms and conditions of the Bid
Documents.
ANY PERSON REQUIRING SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS SHALL NOTIFY LMA OF THE
TYPE(S) OF ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED NOT LESS THAN SEVEN (7) DAYS BEFORE THE
BID OPENING.
The Lakefront Management Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that
it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged
business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation
and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an
award.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S.
38:2212 (A)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement bids,
and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any
public entity.
