ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR ONE OR MORE NEW AUTOMATED SIDELOADING 31 YARD CUBIC YARD GARBAGE COLLECTING UNIT(S) WITH A TANDEM REAR AXLE CAB OVER CHASSIS, AND ONE OR MORE AUTOMATED SIDELOADING 24 CUBIC YARD GARBAGE COLLECTION TRUCK WITH A SINGLE REAR AXLE CONVENTIONAL CHASSIS FOR THE CALHOUN COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT.
            WHEREAS it is now necessary and this Board desires to advertise to receive bids through a reverse auction for one or more new (31) thirty-one cubic yard automated side loading body with a tandem rear axle cab over chassis and one or more new (24) twenty-four-yard automated side loading body with a single rear axle conventional chassis for the Calhoun County Solid Waste Department
            It is, therefore, ordered by the Board that the Clerk of this Board publish notice of the intention of the Board to receive bids via reverse auctions on Wednesday, April 19th 2023 at 10:00 A.M. for the 31 yard body tandem axle truck, and at 10:30 A.M. for the 24 yard body with the single rear axle truck at www.centralbidding.com according to specifications on file in the office of the clerk of the Board of Supervisors and online at www.centralbidding.com.. Said notice shall be published for the time in the manner provided in the Calhoun County Journal, a newspaper having general circulation in Calhoun County, MS.
            Upon motion made by Supervisor Morgan, seconded by Supervisor Thompson, the above and foregoing resolution was put to a roll call vote the result being as follows:

                        Gerald Thompson       voted               "Yea"
                        Barney Wade              voted               "Yea"
                        Tony Morgan              voted               "Yea"
 
The motion having received the affirmative majority of all members present, the President of the Board declared the motion carried and resolution adopted this the 6th day of February 2023.

Notice is hereby given that the Calhoun County Board of Supervisors, at www.centralbidding.com at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday April 19th, 2023, shall accept electronic bids through a reverse auction for one or more new thirty-one (31) cubic yard automated side loading body with tandem rear axle cab over chassis, and at 10:30 A.M. shall accept reverse auction bids for one or more new twenty four (24) yard automated side loading garbage body with a single rear axle conventional chassis for the Calhoun County Solid Waste Department according to specifications on file with the Clerk of the Board and online at www.centralbidding.com. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Bidders may download official documents from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com.
