NOTICE TO PUBLIC: PROPERTY: PROPERTY FOR SALE
The Morehouse Parish School Board is now receiving bids for the sale of property known as the "Eastside Elementary School Site" located in Bastrop, Louisiana. The description of the property to be sold is the following described property situated in the Parish of Morehouse, State of Louisiana, together with all improvements and appurtenances, to wit:

The following described property situated in Bastrop, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, to-wit:
Beginning at an iron pin at the intersection of the south line of Colliers Lane with the west line of McCreight Street, run south along the West line of McCreight Street, 450 feet to an iron pin, thence west on a line parallel to Colliers Lane 150 feet to an iron pin, thence North on a line parallel to McCreight Street 77.52 feet to an iron pin; thence in a westerly direction on a line perpendicular to Dalton Street 160.4 feet to an iron pin on the East line of Dalton Street; thence in a Northerly direction along the East line of Dalton Street 255.7 feet to an iron pin; thence East on a line parallel to Colliers Lane 203.2 feet to an iron pin; thence North on a line parallel to McCreigtht Street 150 feet to an iron pin on the South line of Colliers Lane; thence East along the south line of Colliers Lane 150 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

From an iron pin at the East ¼ - ¼ corner of Section 25, Township 21 North, range 5 East, thence south on Section and Range line 40 feet; thence West 180 feet to an iron pin and POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE CONTINUE West 150 feet to an iron pin; thence south parallel with Section line 150 feet to an iron pin; then East 150 feet to an iron pin; thence North 150 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, being a lot facing on Collier’s Lane produced 150 feet by 150 feet deep, and being the same property acquired by this Vendor from C.N. Dalton, etal per deed in Book 56 Page 202 of the conveyance records of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana.

Lot 5 of Dalton-Scott Subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Official Plat Book 1, Page 59 of the records of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana.

A lot of ground in the Town of Bastrop, Parish of Morehouse, having a width of 75 feet on East side of Dalton Avenue, described as follows:  From an iron pin at the intersection of the South line of Collier’s Lane with the East line of Dalton Avenue, run in a Southerly direction along the East line of Dalton Avenue 406.7 feet to PLACE OF BEGINNING; thence continue South along the East line of Dalton Avenue 75 feet; thence Easterly on a line perpendicular to the East line of Dalton Avenue 146.9 feet; thence North 75 feet, thence Westerly parallel to the South line to the POINT OF BEGINNING.  Said lot of land lying within and being a portion of the Southeast ¼ of Northeast ¼ of Section 25, Township 21 North, Range 5 East.
 

Specifications for bid for purchase
The above described property is to be sold without any warranty whatsoever as to title or the merchantability of the title but with full substitution and subrogation in and to any and all rights and actions of warranty which Morehouse Parish School Board has or may have against preceding owners. The immovable property and all improvements will be conveyed and accepted "as is", where is, "without any warranty of any kind whatsoever." Purchaser shall be required to pay the bid price in cash or certified funds and an additional $500.00 for deed preparation and recording fees within fifteen (15) days of the awarding of the bid. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid which will be returned if the bid is not accepted. The transfer shall be made by a deed without warranty which is available to all bidders for review and which is part of the specifications.
There is no minimum bid amount required.

 
Instructions for all bids Bid specifications and bid forms are available at the office of the Superintendent at the Morehouse Parish School Board located at 4099 Naff Street, Bastrop, Louisiana, or online at www.centralauctionhouse.com/rfp.php?cid=10075. The only bids that will be accepted must be contained on a bid form that
will be provided by that office or online at the specified web address. All inquiries should be directed to the Superintendent, Morehouse Parish School Board, P.O. Box 872, Bastrop, Louisiana 71221­-0872.
Bids must be delivered to the Morehouse Parish School Board no later than 2:00 P.M., November 30, 2016. Sealed bids that are hand delivered or sent by certified mail must be in an envelope clearly marked: "Bid for Eastside Elementary Site." Hand-delivered bids should be brought to the 4099 Naff Street address and bids sent by certified mail should be sent to the
P. O. Box 872 address.
The Morehouse Parish School Board reserves the right to reject any bid for sale or to accept the highest bid that meets specifications.
