BID SOLICITATION 

Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation’s leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for heavy site preparation consisting mainly of mulching and burning existing trees and vegetation from one WRE site in Louisiana. Following is a summary of the location and acreage of each tract in the bid package.

 Bids are due no later than 2 PM Friday August 31, 2020. 

Note: Upon award of the contract, the recipient must submit a 100% performance and payment bond along with proper insurance and evidence of workmen’s compensation.
 
NOTICE TO BIDDERS 

1. Bidders must be prequalified, and Bids will be rejected if the bidder is not on DU’s pre-qualified contractors list. Bidders are encouraged to verify their pre-qualification prior to submitting a bid, by contacting Amy Breithaupt, [email protected], 601-206-5455.
2. Please make note of the bonding requirements of Section 101.304 of the General Conditions.  Performance and Payment Bonds are required for all projects.  These bonds are to be supplied to Ducks Unlimited at the execution of the contract. 
3. The insurance requirements of Section 101.701 of the General Conditions require one-million-dollar coverage per occurrence for bodily injury, death and for damage to property includ­ing loss of use.  Proof of general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage are required at the execution of the contract.  A sample insurance certificate is enclosed.  The successful bidder is required to provide an insurance certificate equivalent to the attached sample certificate. 
4. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under La. R.S.37:2150-2163 and must show their license number on the face of the bid envelope. It shall also be the responsibility of the General Contractor to assure that all subcontractors comply with this law. 
5. Bids for this project will be accepting online. The SPECIAL PROVISION outlines the Bid submission requirements.  Bidders must be registered with Central Bidding prior to submitting a bid. Registration may be completed by visiting https://www.centralauctionhouse.com/SignUp. 
6. All Bidders must complete and return along with their Bid Form the Certification Regarding Lobbying (Attachment A), Certification Regarding Debarment and Suspension (Attachment B) and Non-Collusion Affidavit of Bidder (Attachment C). 
7. The online bid envelope must contain “BID, LA WRP 2020 – Heavy Site Prep, DU-LA-182-001” with the contractor’s name, address and license number. 
8. Bids will be accepted thru 2 PM Monday August 31, 2020.
