Project Description: This work includes the construction of a new Family Day Use Area at Bayou Country Sports Park located at 4374 Highway 311 in Houma, La. The project site is situated near the southeastern portion of the property adjacent to an existing pond.
Base Bid Items included in the scope of work are as follows: 20 space (18 limestone and 2 ADA concrete parking spaces) pull off parking area along the existing entrance drive, concrete paving and walkways, a wood deck type construction pedestrian bridge, sand beach and sand play area, wood decking, custom steel shade structure and a new splash pad including all water features, plumbing and equipment. Also included in the base bid is the placement of (2) (one 8’x20’ and one 8’x40’) Shipping Container Restroom buildings and (1) 8’x20’ Shipping Container that will be used to house splash pad equipment. All 3 shipping containers have been previously purchased by Terrebonne Parish Recreation District 2-3, therefore this project requires the construction of foundations and placement/securing of the shipping container buildings only. Additional Base Bid items include electrical, water and sewer service for the shipping container buildings as well and landscaping and irrigation.
            This project also contains (3) Add Alternates which are as follows;
            Add Alternate 1: Includes additional concrete walkways, a gravel walking path, and a wood deck type construction pedestrian footbridge.
            Add Alternate 2: Includes additional splash pad water features, plumbing and equipment and additional concrete paving.
            Add Alternate 3: Includes the construction of a new fishing pier at the existing pond.
