Sealed bids will be received on March 12, 2015, by the St. James Parish Goverment for the Reroofing of St. James Parish Neighborhood Center, with funding from the Louisiana Hazard Mitigation Program. Bids will be accepeted in the Operations Directors Conference Room in the St. James Parish Courthouse (2nd Floor), located at 5800 Highway 44, Convent, Louisiana, 70723 unitl 10:00 a.m.  At exactly 10:00 a.m., all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Subsuqent to the opening, the bid/bids will be evaluated by the appropriate party/parties and wil be presented to the Parish Presidents Office for handling in accordance with the Louisiaina Public Bid Law.

All bids must reach the above location before 10:00 a.m. on the day of the bid opening.

Bids received pripr to the time of the scheduled bid opening wil be securely kept unopened. No bid received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered. Bidders are cautioned to allow ample time for transmittal of bids by mail or otherwise. Bidders are uged to secure information relative to the probable time of arrival and distribution of mail at the place where the bids are to opened. Failure of th U.S. Mail or of any express carrier or delivery service to deliver the bids timely shall not be considered due cause for the scheduled time of the bid opening to be extended.

The probable construction cost estimate for the work associated wiht the Base Bid is $240,000.00.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Operations Directors Conference Room in the St. James Parish Courthouse (2nd floor), located at 5800 Highway 44, Convent, Louisiana, 70723. Bidders are strongly urged to attend and participate in the conference.

Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed in accordance with L.R.S. 37:2150-2163 for classification of BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.
