Notice is hereby given that a sealed bid will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System by the Purchasing Department located at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508 for the following:
 
Bids will be marked as follows:
 
                        School Uniforms – LPSS Homeless Department
                        Bid #15-21
                        Opening:  May 19, 2020 @ 11:00 am CST
 
The bid #15-21 is to procure school uniform polo shirts, pants, shorts, hooded jackets, and v-neck cardigans for the Lafayette Parish School System Homeless Department.
 
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated time and date in the SPED Conference Room or the Board Room of the Lafayette Parish School System Office Building [Note:  dependent upon COVID-19 protocols after April 30, 2020 bid opening may only be available for viewing via Youtube Live].
 
Complete bidding documents may be obtained from the Purchasing Department website at http://www.lpssonline.com/site638.php.  Bid information may also be viewed online, and electronic bids may be submitted online at www.centralauctionhouse.com.  Specifications will be available Friday, May 1, 2020.
 
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.  In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (a)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this section, those stated in the Advertisement for Bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be waived by any public entity.
 
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the state.
 
The Lafayette Public School System strongly encourages the participation of minority business enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by the Board for goods and services.  To that end, all contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase of sub-contracting of materials, supplies, and services in which minority owned businesses are available.
