ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of Holley Timber Road – from SR 75 (US 231) to CR 276 (Kynesville Rd) will be received by the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners at the county administration building located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, FL, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read. The Project consists of approximately 7,054 tons of asphalt pavement, 13,707 square yards of base, and 87 LF of drainage pipe (side/cross drains), with 72 mitered end sections.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, but awarded based on the lump sum of the unit prices.

NOTE: A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held in the Board Room of the County Administration Office, located at 2864 Madison St., Marianna, FL 32448 on Thursday 10/17/24 at 10:00AM CST.Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Fridays between the hours of 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available as portable document format (PDF) files e-mailed free of charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $_300_ per set, payable to “Alday-Howell Engineering, Inc.”, plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
