They may be obtained without charge and without deposit from https://beauparish.org/4DAction/web_Send_PDF?DocID_s=0019025 and from www.centralbidding.com for a nominal charge or subscription. Printed copies are not available from the Owner or Architect, but arrangements can be made to obtain printed Bid Documents through most reprographic firms. Bidders are responsible for any subscription, downloading, reproduction or mailing costs.
No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. The bid security shall be in the form of certified check or cashier’s check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or on The Beauregard Parish Police Jury Bid Bond Form contained in the Front-End Documents written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana with a A.M. Best rating of “A” or better, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond insurer as a licensed agent in this state and who is residing in this state.
Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LS R.S. 37:2150- 2163 for the classification of “Building Construction”. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Evidence of authority to submit the bid shall be required in accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (B) (2), (5) and/or LA. R.S. 39:1594 (C) (4).
A Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted in the area on 10:00 A.M., Monday January 31, 2022. Visitors must sign in at the Police Jury Lobby located at 210 W. 2nd St. prior to heading to pre-bid meeting. Attendance is mandatory and is a pre-requisite for submitting a bid. Bidders must be present for the entirety of the meeting.
Each bid must be placed in an envelope, sealed and marked on the outside:
“Bid Enclosed for Hurricane Laura Roof Repairs, Beauregard Parish Courthouse, 201 1st Street, DeRidder, LA 70634 be opened at 10:00 A.M., February 8, 2022 at the Beauregard Parish Police Jury, Attention: Bryan McReynolds, Police Jury Meeting Room, 201 W 2nd St. DeRidder, LA 70634”. Refer to Instructions for Bidders for other requirements on outside of envelope.
Bid may also be submitted by electronic means via website www.centralbidding.com. Free registration is required in order to submit a bid via the Central Bidding website.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause as permitted by LA. R.S. 38:2214 (B). The ability of an entity to reject any bid is applicable only when administered in accordance with the Public Bid Law. In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (B) (1), the provisions and requirements of this section, and those stated in the Bidding Documents shall not be waived by any public entity.
