Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the Raccourci East Terraces Project. There will be a MANDATORY SITE SHOWING on December 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Contractors are highly encouraged to visit the site prior to placing a bid. A shallow draft boat will be necessary to access the terrace areas. Boat launching will be out of Falgout Canal Marina, located at 1868 Doctor Beatrous Rd, Theriot, LA 70397.  
 
Raccourci East Terrace Project consists of constructing and planting 55,500 LF of marsh terraces. This work shall also include performing the necessary items outlined in the plans, specifications and other work associated with constructing the project according to the plans. The unit price bid for the project shall be payment in full for supplying all materials, equipment, labor and any other necessary incidental items necessary for performing all operations described herein.  Contract completion time is 270 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.  Bid closing is 10:00 AM CST on December 21, 2021.

Bids shall only be accepted from Prime Contractors on DU’s prequalified contractor bidder’s list and with the necessary License Classifications required by the State Contracting Board to perform work outlined in the plans and technical specifications.  It shall be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor to assure that he and all subcontractors comply with all state contracting laws.  Bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond.  If the bids are awarded, the successful bidder must submit a 100% performance and payment bond along with proper insurance and evidence of workmen’s compensation.
