NOTICE TO PUBLIC: PROPERTY FOR LEASE
 
The Morehouse Parish School Board is now receiving bids for lease of a former school site solely for the purposes stated in the bid packet and particularly in section 3 of the contract and lease agreement.  The lease will be for a one-year period.  The description of the property to be leased is the following described property situated in the Parish of Morehouse, State of Louisiana, together with all improvements and appurtenances, to wit:
 
The old “Bonita Elementary School.”

“Provided as part of bid packet.”

 
Instructions for bids
Bid specifications and bid forms are available at the office of the Superintendent at the Morehouse Parish School Board.  The only bids that will be accepted must be contained on a bid form that will be provided by that office.  All inquiries should be directed to the Superintendent, Morehouse Parish School Board, P. O. Box 872, Bastrop, Louisiana 71221.
 
Bids must be delivered to the Morehouse Parish School Board at the above address no later than 10:00 A.M., May 3, 2016.  Sealed bids must be hand delivered or sent by certified mail in an envelope clearly marked: “Bid for School Property.”  Bids must be hand delivered or sent by certified mail.  Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in an amount equal to one year's lease payment which will be returned if the bid is not accepted.  The successful bidder will also be required to pay the cost of advertising, an additional $500.00 for preparation and recording of the lease and furnish proof of liability insurance as required in the bid specifications.
 
The Morehouse Parish School Board reserves the right to reject any bid for lease or to accept the high bid that meets specifications.
