ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
KEY FIELD - MERIDIAN, MISSISSIPPI
 
Sealed bids will be received by the Meridian Airport Authority in the airport conference room, Airport Terminal Building, 2811-A Highway 11 South, Meridian, Mississippi until 10:00 am Wednesday, June 12, 2024.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted.
 
The work is generally described as:
           
CONTRACT NO. 1 -               REHABILITATION OF NORTH DRAINAGE AFFECTING
                                                RUNWAY 1-19 SAFETY AREA
 
The rehabilitation will include approximately 3,000 cubic yards of borrow excavation, 215 linear feet of HP polypropylene storm drain, cast-in-place concrete inlets, cured-in-place pipe lining on 24’’ and 42’’ pipe and other incidental work on the airfield at Meridian Regional Airport.
 
CONTRACT NO. 2                DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF OLD SOUTH PUMP STATION
 
The work will consist of excavation of the existing levee and the demolition and removal of an old concrete pump station, construction of a new 60’’ diameter steel drainage pipe and check flap valve, and back fill and re-grading of levee on the south end of the airfield at Meridian Regional Airport.
 
CONTRACT NO. 3                REHABILITATION OF THE NORTH DRAINAGE DITCH
 
The rehabilitation will include approximately 800 cubic yards of unclassified excavation, 16,000 cubic yards of borrow excavation, placement of Size 610 crushed stone, placement of 200 lb riprap and construction of approximately 14,000 square feet of gabion basket wall as well as 144 linear feet of a 10’x5’ concrete box culvert on the north drainage ditch at Meridian Regional Airport.
                                   
Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required.  Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required.  No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of ninety (90) days.  Bidding and Contract Documents may be purchased from the Engineer upon prior payment of a fee of $75.00, which is non-refundable.  Each bidder shall provide a Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility or their bid will not be opened or considered.
