Sealed Bids will be received in the Purchasing Department of the Rapides Parish School Board, 619 Sixth Street, Alexandria, Louisiana 71301 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 28, 2023 for:
BID 24-01: SALE OF PROPERTY – NORTH BAYOU RAPIDES SCHOOL
After stamping to acknowledge timely receipt, the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read by the Executive Committee and/or staff of the Rapides Parish School Board. Sole responsibility for the proper delivery of bid is that of the bidder. Any offer received after closing time (2:00 P.M., September 28, 2023) will be returned unopened.
The Property may be viewed at 5500 England Drive, Alexandria, Louisiana. Said property is described as: A certain piece, parcel or lot of ground, together with all improvements thereon, rights, ways and priveleges thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining, being, lying and situated in Sections 77 and 78, Township 4 North, Range 1 West, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, being more particularly described in Attachment “A” of Bid Documents.
The Property will be sold “as is where is” through the sealed bid process with warranty of title only. The Board will not consider bids on bid forms other than those provided by the Rapides Parish School Board. All bids must be accompanied by an original bid security in the amount of $5,000.00 and must be in the form of a Money Order, Certified Check or Cashier’s Check made payable to Rapides Parish School Board. Bid Security shall be forfeited in the event the successful bidder fails to close in accord with stated time constraints. The Rapides Parish School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and all bids shall be rejected in the event the highest bid is not equal to the appraised value of the property.
