Sealed Bids for construction of the 2019 Bridge Repair Project, Bridge # 23, # 78, & # 98 will be received, by the Bolivar County Board of Supervisors, at the office of the Bolivar County Courthouse, 801 Main Street Rosedale, Mississippi 38769, until 10:00 am local time on December 17, 2018 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Bidding Documents may examine free of charge at the office of the Engineer, Eley?Barkley, PA, 306 Third Street, Cleveland, Mississippi, 38732, Tel. 662?846?0180; at the office of the Bolivar County Administrator 200 S. Court Street, Cleveland, Mississippi, 38732 or at participating plan rooms.
Bidding Documents may be purchased at the office of Eley?Barkley, PA, 306 Third Street, Cleveland, Mississippi, 38732 or downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Plan holders will be required to have a valid email address and must purchase the Bidding Documents in order to be eligible to submit a Bid.
Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the maximum total bid amount is required. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 calendar days after the actual date of opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids.
Proposals may be submitted in person, by mail or electronically. For delivery in person or by mail, the proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope with the following: 2019 Bridge Repair Project, Bridge #23, #78, & #98 to be opened on December 17, 2018 and addressed to the Bolivar County Board of Supervisors. In addition the envelope shall list the bidders Company Name, Company Address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. The Owner and Engineer assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope which is not properly marked.
For electronic delivery, Bids must be submitted at www.centralbidding.com. All electronic Bids must be submitted in portable electronic format (PDF) and must contain the same information, forms and Bid Security as required for paper Bids. Bidders must be properly licensed under the applicable laws of the State of Mississippi for the type of Work required for the Project and must be able to obtain insurance and bonds, as described in the Bidding Documents.
