Notice is given hereby that:
 
     EVANGELINE PARISH POLICE JURY

     will accept bids for
 
CHATAIGNIER LIBRARY
 
 
     Engineer’s Project #1-0017-17
 
 
according to Drawings and Specifications prepared by J. Ronald Landreneau & Associates, Inc. and described in general as:
 
 
This project consists of  a 35’x42’ new library location located in Chataignier, LA. The library will consist of an open library, a restroom, and a working office.  The location of the building is.

Sealed bids will be received by the Owner until: 2:00 pm, local time, on the 16th day of January 2018 the office of the Evangeline Parish Police Jury, located at 1008 West LaSalle Street, Ville Platte, LA 70586, whereas bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
 
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Cashier’s Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid value, said bond or check made payable to the Evangeline Parish Library Board
 
Proposed Contract Documents may be examined at the office of:

and at major plan rooms in the project vicinity. Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of $100.00.  This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212. Bid related materials can be found, and electronic bids can be placed at www.centralbidding.com.
 

Bona fide General Contract bidders may secure copies of the proposed contract
documents from the office of the Engineer on the following basis:
 
On any bid submitted in the amount of fifty thousand dollars or more, a Contractor            shall certify that he is licensed under the provisions of paragraph A, Section 2163 of       
            the Contractor's Licensing Law and shall show his license number on the bid envelope.
 
      2.   No partial sets will be issued.
 
3.   It is required that on any bid for this project submitted in the amount of fifty thousand   
      dollars ($50,000) or more, one dollar ($1) or more for hazardous materials or mold
            remediation, or ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or more for Plumbing, Electrical or
            Mechanical, the contractor shall certify licensure under R.S. 37:2150?2192 and show the
            license number on the bid envelope.
 
 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in the state, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
 
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids.
 
The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that Minority Business Enterprises will be afforded equal opportunity to submit offers in response to this advertisement and they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, disability, or national origin during award consideration.
 
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality incidental thereto, in accordance with LA Revised Statutes 38.
