INVITATION FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the CITY OF FLOWOOD, MS (herein called the Owner) will receive written, sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 AM on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at the office of the City Clerk in Flowood City Hall located at 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232, for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the construction of that certain project designated as:
CASTLEWOODS ELEVATED WATER TANK MODIFICATIONS
Official Drawings and Specifications being on file at the office of the City Clerk at Flowood City Hall located at 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232. Additionally, copies of the Contract Documents and Specifications, may be obtained from the office of Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC, 660 Katherine Dr., Suite 302 upon payment of $100 for each set, none of which is refundable or downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. The project scope is to raise the existing elevated water tank at 142 Azalea Trails Drive approximately 10’. The construction of the project includes all necessary work required to raise the existing elevated water tank as shown on the Construction Plans and in the Specifications.
Bids shall be submitted in one of the following manners: 1) Paper Form, in duplicate, to the office of the City Clerk in Flowood City Hall located at 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232 in a sealed envelope designated as “Bid For: CASTLEWOODS ELEVATED WATER TANK MODIFICATIONS”. The outside of said envelope shall bear the Bidder’s Name, and Certificate of Responsibility Number and shall be Addressed to: The Honorable Mayor and Board of Alderman, City of Flowood, 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232; or, 2) Electronically at www.centralbidding.com.
No Pre-Bid Conference will be held for this project.
The total Contract Time will be 365 consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages at $500.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.

Bidders acknowledge that, with respect to all matters of procurement and contracting related to the captioned bid project, the City of Flowood will follow the procurement requirements set forth in 2 C.F.R Sections 200.317 through 200.327.
No prospective CONTRACTOR may withdraw his proposal within SIXTY (60) DAYS after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The CITY OF FLOWOOD reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities or to reject any or all bids.
Award will be made to lowest and best bidder as determined by the Owner.
