Sealed bids are requested by St. Charles Parish Communications District from qualified contractors for the construction of:
                                                          Addition and Renovations to the 911 Building
                                                          St. Charles Parish Communications District
                                                          222 Joe Louis Lane, Hahnville, LA
                                                          Campo Designs Project No. CD 2602
 
Bids will be received at the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Complex, Reception Desk, 260 Judge Edward Dufrense Parkway, Luling, LA either by registered or certified mail with return receipt requested or hand delivered or electronically at www.centralbidding.com no later than 2:00 p.m., Local Time Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Roll Call Room (first floor), St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Complex, 260 Judge Edward Dufrense Parkway, Luling, Louisiana.
 
Complete Bidding Documents which include the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Architect, Campo Designs – Architects, 105 Ducayet Drive, Destrehan, LA  70047, (985) 764-8959 upon payment of a deposit of $200.00 per set of documents.  The deposit will be returned as provided in the Instruction to Bidders.
 
Bids must be accompanied by a bid security at least equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond.
 
A Pre-bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 10:00am at the site at 222 Joe Louis Lane, Hahnville, LA.  Attendance at the Pre-bid Conference is Mandatory and required to submit a bid.
 
Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, if within budget.  This is a Tax-free project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after bid opening except as provided by law.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.  Certificates of Insurance will also be required as specified. This is a Tax-free project and should be bid as such.
 
Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor’s Licensing Law, R. S. 37:2151 et seq.
 
St. Charles Parish Communications District reserves the right to award the project on whatever basis is in the best interest of the Owner and to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities as allowed by law.
