ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received until the hour of 10:00 AM, local time on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in the Office of
Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Conference Room, 2nd Floor of the Livingston Parish
Government Building, 20355 Government Boulevard, Suite D, Livingston, LA 70754 or sent electronically via
http://www.centralbidding.com. Then bids will be publicly opened upon completion of administrative tasks for
the following:
Emergency Response Communications Tower
The project work is divided into (1) section: Base Bid. The Base Bid includes the construction of a
new 717 foot guyed communications tower, communications shelter, site work, electrical systems
and mechanical equipment.
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with Livingston Parish Office of
Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness located in Livingston, Louisiana. A bid proposal
number is not applicable. Late bids will not be accepted.
Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond acceptable to the owner in the
amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including all alternates, and payable without condition
to the owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in
accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents.
The drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection in the office of Infinity Engineering
Consultants, L.L.C. New Orleans, Louisiana. A complete set of Contract Documents may be secured from
Infinity Engineering Consultants, L.L.C. 2626 Canal Street, Suite 202, New Orleans, LA 70119 (PHONE 504-
304-0548, FAX 504-355-0265) by Louisiana licensed contractors holding a license in “Tower Construction” upon
receipt of $60 per set. Deposit on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully
refunded upon return of documents in good condition no later than ten (10) days after receipts of bids.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the
contract. Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S.
38:2219 as applicable.
The Livingston Parish Council reserves the right to reject all bids and to reject bids for just cause, pursuant to the
law.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2 PM, in the Office of Homeland Security and
Emergency Preparedness Conference Room, 2nd Floor of the Livingston Parish Government Building, 20355
Government Boulevard, Suite D, Livingston LA 70754. A site visit will follow the meeting. All interested
parties are HIGHLY URGED to attend.
