NOTICE OF BIDS
ESSER UPGRADES AND IMPROVEMENTS AT
PORT GIBSON MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR
CLAIBORNE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
ARCHITECTS PROJECT NUMBER 22-006.1
 
Sealed, written formal bid proposals for the above bid will be received by the Board of Education of the Claiborne County School District, in the Business Office, 404 Market Street, Port Gibson, Mississippi 39150,
until 11:00 a.m. (Local Prevailing Time) May 16,2023, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved, for forty-five calendar days from the date bids are opened.
Bid documents are being made available via electronic copy. Plan holders are required to register for an
account at www.m3aarchplans. com to view Bid Documents. Printed copies are not available through the Architect. Plan holders will be responsible for their own reproduction cost. All Contractors who intend to submit “BIDS” are ENCOURAGED to attend the NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference at the 404 Market Street, Port Gibson, MS 39150, on April 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM local prevailing time.
Contract Provisions are based on guidance from the Mississippi Attorney General's  Office as it relates to contracts with public entities in Mississippi and from the Mississippi Department of Education as it relates to the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) and other federal funding guidelines. Certain provisions are not subject to waiver or modification by the Owner.
The successful bidder will be allowed one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete.
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company
licensed to do business in Mississippi.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance
and by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi, each in an amount equal to          100% of the contract amount
