Sealed bids will be received for the project named below by the Center for Violence Prevention (Owner), until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on May 9, 2022, as described in the Instructions to Bidders.  The bids will be opened, read aloud, and taken under advisement.  The Project will be awarded to the lowest and best bid.

Renovations to the Center for Violence Prevention
Project Description:
Interior and mechanical renovations to existing facility; see Drawings and Specifications for scope of work and detailed information.
Proposals shall be submitted on the furnished form in a sealed envelope prior to the date and hour designated above and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders in the Project Manual.  Bids must be accompanied by bid bond or certified check for at least five percent (5%) of the base bid payable to The Center for Violence Prevention as bid security.  No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening.
All bids must comply with applicable laws of the State of Mississippi and shall include the Contractor’s Certificate of Responsibility Number, which must be displayed on outside of the sealed envelope. A performance and payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum will be required of the successful bidder.
Bid preparation shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders bound in the Project Manual.  The Owner reserves the right to waive any and all informalities or to reject any or all bids submitted.  Electronic bids can be submitted at Central Bidding (CentralAuctionHouse.com).  For questions relating to the electronic bid process, please call Central Bidding at (225) 810-4814.
The Bid Documents (plans and specifications for the Work) are available via digital and/or hard copy sets.  Plan holders are required to register and order bid documents from the Jackson Blueprint online Plan Room website; planroomjaxblue.com.  There is no charge for registration or to view the bid documents online.  A printed or digital set of bid documents is available for purchase at the Contractor’s expense from planroomjaxblue.com; contact Jackson Blueprint and Supply directly regarding download or Bid Document purchases. Bid documents will be issued in complete sets only.  No partial printings of specifications sections or trade specific drawings will be issued.
 
The Bid Package contract will be issued between the Owner and the successful contractor.  This package shall include all bonds and taxes as required by the contract documents and the State of Mississippi.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at The Bridge Center, 175 Doctors Drive, Pearl, MS 39208, on April 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. local time.  All Bidders are expected to have familiarized themselves with conditions relating to the work prior to the Pre-Bid Conference.
