ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
 
Sealed bids are requested by St. Charles Council On Aging, Inc. from qualified contractors for the construction of:
                                                          New Main Office Building and Senior Center
                                                          St. Charles Council On Aging, Inc.  RE-BID
                                                          282 Judge Edward Dufresne Pkwy, Luling, LA
                                                          Campo Designs Project No. CD 2901R
 
Bids will be received at the St. Charles Council On Aging, Inc., New Sarpy Senior Center,
150 Trosclair Drive, New Sarpy, LA either by registered or certified mail with return receipt requested or hand delivered or electronically at www.centralbidding.com no later than 2:00 p.m., Local Time Thursday, May 5, 2022 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the St. Charles Council On Aging, Inc. New Sarpy Senior Center, 150 Trosclair Drive, New Sarpy, Louisiana.
 
Complete Bidding Documents which include the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Architect, Campo Designs – Architects, 105 Ducayet Drive, Destrehan, LA  70047, (985) 764-8959 upon payment of a deposit of $200.00 per set of documents.  The deposit will be returned as provided in the Instruction to Bidders.
 
Bids must be accompanied by a bid security at least equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond.
 
A Pre-bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10:00am at the Senior Center at 150 Trosclair Drive, New Sarpy, LA.  Attendance at the Pre-bid Conference is Not Mandatory but highly recommended.
 
Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, if within budget.  No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after bid opening except as provided by law.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.  Certificates of Insurance will also be required as specified.
 
Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor’s Licensing Law, R. S. 37:2151 et seq.
 
St. Charles Council On Aging, Inc. reserves the right to award the project on whatever basis is in the best interest of the Owner and to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities as allowed by law.
