Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the Lori Dickson WRE project near Marks, in Quitman County, MS.  We are having a pre-bid meeting for the project on:
 
July 7th at 9:30 AM 
 
We will meet at the site.  From the intersection of Hwy. 6 and Hwy. 3 at Mark, MS, go south on Hwy. 3 for 1.2 miles, turn left on Rogers Road and go east for 0.3 miles to Covington Road.  Turn right and go south on Covington Road for 0.3 miles to Brooks Road.  Turn left and go east on Brooks Road for 0.3 miles to the project site. (North 34.23849° and West 90.26779°)  Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory but it is strongly suggested that interested bidders attend.
 
The work on this project consists of excavating swales, constructing new levees, installation of steel pipes and water control structures and installing structural spillways.  This work shall also include performing the necessary items outlined in the plans and specifications.

Additional Notes/Requirements

Bids will be rejected if the bidder is not on DU’s pre-qualified contractors list. Bidders are encouraged to verify their pre-qualification prior to submitting a bid. Bids shall only be accepted from Prime Contractors with the necessary License Classifications required by the State Contracting Board to perform work outlined in the plans and technical specifications. It shall be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor to assure that he and all subcontractors comply with all state contracting laws.
