Notice is given hereby that:
 
     EVANGELINE PARISH POLICE JURY

     will accept bids for
 
EVANGELINE PARISH POLICE JURY 2013 ROAD TAX PROJECT
PHASE 4
 
     Engineer’s Project #1-0014-16
 
According to Drawings and Specifications prepared by J. Ronald Landreneau & Associates, Inc. and described in general as:
 
This project consists of road work on the existing roads throughout the parish.  The work includes, but is not limited to, asphalt patch and overlay, reconstruction with soil cement, drainage removal and replacement, delineation, and striping, etc.
 
Sealed bids will be received by the Owner until: __2:00p.m. on _June_, the 23rd, 2016, at the office of the Evangeline Parish Police jury, located at 1008 West LaSalle Street, Ville Platte, LA 70586, whereas bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
 
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Cashier’s Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid value, said bond or check made payable to the Evangeline Parish Police Jury.
 
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at _2:00 pm, local time, on the _14th_ day of June, 2016, at the Evangeline Parish Police Jury Meeting Room, located at 200 Court Street suite 207, Ville Platte, LA 70586
           
Proposed Contract Documents may be examined at the office of:

and at major plan rooms in the project vicinity. Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of  $200.00.  This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212. Bid related materials can be found, and electronic bids can be placed at www.centralbidding.com.
 

Bona fide General Contract Bidders may secure copies of the proposed contract
documents from the office of the Engineer on the following basis:
 
1.   On any bid submitted in the amount of fifty thousand dollars or more, a Contractor
      shall certify that he is licensed under the provisions of paragraph A, Section 2163 of       
       the Contractor's Licensing Law and shall show his license number on the    
      bid envelope.
 
2.   No partial sets will be issued.
 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in the state, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount.
 
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids.
 
The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that Minority Business Enterprises will be afforded equal opportunity to submit offers in response to this advertisement and they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, disability, or national origin during award consideration.
 
Each Bidder must not maintain or provide any employee facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
 
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality incidental thereto, in accordance with LA Revised Statutes 38.
