The City of Davenport is advertising and now accepting sealed bids for In-Building Radio Signaling Enhancement 2023-007.

Listed below are the specifications that are being requested. The requirements shall include all insurance (this is to include Liability and Workmen’s Comp), licenses and types of material. Interested parties are also required to include with their sealed bid a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit of Prime Bidder Form and a Public Entity Crimes Form.

Project Specifications
  • Provide a 700/800MHz P25 Public Safety In-Building Radio Enhancement throughout the City of Davenport Community Center, (Tom Fellows Event Center) in accordance with NFPA 72 / 1221 / 780 / AHJ.1. 
1. SCOPE OF WORK
A. Provide all necessary equipment, materials, tools, and labor for the completion of the project.

B. The bidder shall inspect in detail the site of the proposed work and be familiar with all of the local conditions affecting the contract. If successful, the bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to comply with these instructions. The city will, in no case, be responsible for any change in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect.
 
C. The contractor shall be required to haul away all debris from the site and leave the area     clean.
 
D. All work is scheduled to begin after November 26, 2023, and must be completed no later than January 27, 2024 (Liquidated damages $150.00 per day after January 27, 2024).
 
E. Contractor will have access to the Tom Fellows Center, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 
F. The successful bidder will be required to coordinate with both the radio and fire alarm network system administrators.
 
All sealed bids submitted in response to this project must be in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside with “City of Davenport Public Safety Radio Enhancement Project ITB 2023-007”, and addressed to:

All sealed bids must be received by 2:00 pm, November 13, 2023. Submittals may either be mailed, or hand delivered prior to the above deadline. Postmarks will not be accepted. As an added service, bids can be submitted at www.centralbidding.com. For any questions regarding the electronic bidding process, please contact Central Bidding at 225-810-4814 or [email protected]. It is the responsibility of the bidder to assure that bids are received at City Hall no later than the specified time and date. Submittals received after this date and time will not be accepted or considered.
 
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm local time on November 13, 2023, at Davenport City Hall, 1 South Allapaha Avenue, Davenport, FL 33837.
 
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise and to accept the bid in the best interest of the City.
