BID NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by Ascension Parish Government at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 615 East Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 (mailing address PO Box 2392, Gonzales, LA 70707-2392) until, October 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. local time. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelope with the name of the bid clearly written on the outside of the envelope. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:
SAF Coat Infield Topdressing
Bids will be accepted on a price per ton basis only for a period of one (1) year to commence upon acceptance by the Ascension Parish Council.
Product must be available in bulk truckload quantities. Vendor must indicate minimum quantity per order, if applicable.
Bidders shall include, with their bids, the specifications and information on the product that is being proposed.

Whenever in specification the name of a certain brand, make, manufacturer, or definite specifications utilized, the specifications, shall state clearly that they do not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make, manufacturer, or specification named; that they are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type character, and quality of the product desired and that equivalent products will be acceptable…
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with “Bid for Infield Topdressing” indicated on the front cover. Bids must be submitted on the forms furnished, fully completed. Each bidder shall be responsible for all errors or omissions in his/her bid.
Ascension Parish Government requires all products to be new and unused at the time of delivery.
Freight charges, if applicable, should be included in total cost when quoting. If not quoted FOB delivered, freight must be quoted as a separate item. Bids may be rejected if not quoted FOB delivered or if freight charges are not indicated on bid form.
No Federal or State Taxes are applicable.
No bid, under any circumstances, will be received or considered after the appointed hour for the bid submissions.
Bid submissions will be opened, read aloud, and may be taken under advisement for up to thirty (30) days to evaluate in detail.
Specifications/bidding documents may be obtained at the Ascension Parish Government, Purchasing Department located at 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. Electronic Bids are accepted at
Central Bidding http://www.centralauctionhouse.com. For questions related to the electronic bidding
process, please call Central Bidding at (225) 810-4814. All addenda, corrections, and responses to this public notice shall be posted to http://www.centralauctionhouse.com. The Ascension Parish Government shall not be
responsible if the bidder cannot complete and submit a bid due to failure or incomplete delivery of the files submitted via the internet.
The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana. Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
